How we handle the information you send us.
Effective September 8, 2026.
Who we are
The Sidereal Summit is operated by Sidereal Group LLC, a for-profit company incorporated in Delaware, at One World Trade Center, 85th Floor, New York, NY 10007. Sidereal Group LLC is responsible for the information described on this page. You can reach us at info@siderealsummit.org or 212-220-8436.
What we collect
When you send an inquiry through this site, we receive the name, organization, email address, subject, and message you provide.
Our host records ordinary server logs when a page is requested. These include the IP address, the browser's user agent, the page requested, and the time of the request. We use them to keep the site running and secure, and our host may set a cookie that is strictly necessary to serve the site.
We set no analytics or advertising cookies. This site loads no tracking pixels and no third-party fonts, so nothing about your visit is sent to an advertising network.
If you register for the Summit, registration and payment are handled by Eventbrite under its own terms. We receive the registration details Eventbrite passes to us. We never receive your full payment card number.
How we use it
We use what you send to reply to you, to arrange and administer attendance, sponsorship, press access, and award nominations, to keep records of the agreements we enter into, to keep the site secure, and to meet our legal and tax obligations.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not give it to anyone for their own marketing.
An inquiry does not add you to a mailing list. If we begin sending event announcements, we will ask you first, and every message will carry a way to unsubscribe.
Who else handles it
Wix hosts this site, stores inquiry submissions, and sends the notification that reaches our inbox. Eventbrite handles registration and payment, and is responsible under its own privacy policy for the information you give it. Our email provider carries correspondence to and from info@siderealsummit.org.
These providers handle information only on our instructions and only for the purposes described here. We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to establish or defend a legal claim.
How long we keep it
We keep an inquiry for as long as we have a reason to, which means answering you, arranging your attendance or partnership, and maintaining the relationship that follows. We review what we hold from time to time and delete what we no longer need. Records connected to contracts, payments, and taxes are kept for as long as the law requires. Our host keeps ordinary server logs for a limited period.
You can ask us to delete your information at any time, and we will, unless the law requires us to keep it.
Visitors outside the United States
The Summit draws inquiries from around the world. If you write to us from the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, what you send is transferred to and held in the United States, and we rely on appropriate safeguards for that transfer, including standard contractual clauses where they are required.
We handle your information on the basis of our legitimate interest in answering you and in running the Summit, on the performance of a contract where you register or sponsor, on your consent where we have asked for it, and on our legal obligations.
Your choices
You may ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You may withdraw consent you have given at any time. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to object to or restrict certain handling, to receive your information in a portable form, or to complain to your local data protection authority.
We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are used in California law, and we have not done so in the preceding twelve months. We will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.
Write to info@siderealsummit.org. We may need to confirm your identity before we act, and we will answer within the time the applicable law allows.
How we protect it
We keep administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the information we hold, and we limit access to the people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
This site is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under sixteen. If you believe a child has sent us information, write to us and we will delete it.
Other sites
This site links to Eventbrite, and may link to other organizations. We are not responsible for their practices, and their own policies govern what they collect.
Changes
If we revise this policy, we will post the revised version here under a new effective date. Where a change is material, we will say so on this page.
